Registration is easy! Visit our Get Involved page to complete the online registration form. You'll need to provide basic information about your child and complete a consent form. Registration opens in January for the upcoming program year.
BUMP serves boys ages 8-14 years old. We group participants by age to ensure age-appropriate activities and mentorship. Our program is designed to support boys through their formative years with consistent mentorship and guidance.
We're always looking for positive male role models! To become a mentor, complete our mentor application form on the Get Involved page. You'll need to pass a background check, attend an orientation session, and commit to regular attendance. Previous mentoring experience is helpful but not required.
BUMP offers a variety of activities including sports (basketball, soccer), educational workshops, life skills training, creative arts, community service projects, and field trips. Each session includes time for homework help, physical activity, and group discussions on important life topics.
BUMP is committed to being accessible to all families. Our program is offered free of charge thanks to generous community support and sponsorships. We never want cost to be a barrier for any boy who wants to participate.
BUMP meets every Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM at Ajax High School Library (105 Bayly St E, Ajax, ON). The program runs from February 28th to June 13th, 2025. We provide a safe, structured environment where boys can learn and grow together.
Mentors must be 18 years or older, pass a criminal background check, attend orientation and training sessions, and commit to consistent weekly attendance. We look for individuals who are patient, responsible, and passionate about making a positive impact in young lives.
We welcome support from individuals and businesses! You can make a donation through our website, sponsor specific program activities, donate supplies or equipment, or partner with us for special events. Contact us at brothersunitedmp@gmail.com to discuss sponsorship opportunities.
Safety is our top priority. All mentors undergo thorough background checks and child protection training. We maintain appropriate supervision ratios, have clear behavior policies, and follow established emergency procedures. Parents must complete medical forms and emergency contact information during registration.
Yes! Brothers within the age range of 8-14 are welcome to attend together. We find that siblings often benefit from shared experiences in the program. During registration, please indicate if you're registering multiple children from the same family.
